Every year, around 350,000 tonnes of clothing ends up in our landfills. These can take hundreds of years to decompose, releasing harmful gases such as methane while doing so. Kinrich Ltd collects your clothes and separates them into three groups; re-wear, re-use and recycle.
Clothing that can be worn again is often sent to charities to be sold as second-hand garments, old clothes and textiles are converted into other useful items such as cleaning cloths, and other materials are sent to be reclaimed in order to make new garments. Natural and synthetic fibres can both be recycled. Recycling your clothes not only makes some more room in your wardrobe, it also reduces landfill space and saves on energy consumption as they don’t need to be re-dyed or sourced.
